bigDAMidea is an industry leader in Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Media Asset Management (MAM). Since 1997 bigDAMidea (formerly inpetto) has developed, deployed, and managed systems for customers in the advertising, publishing, printing, consumer products, food and beverage, consumer electronics and pharmaceutical industries.

Our systems allow our customers to leverage and implement web-based, collaborative workflows, and to manage and distribute their assets and workflow knowledge in a secure, flexible environment.

A Brief History
bigDAMidea was founded in 1998 in Europe. Our founding principle was to bring to market a superior method of moving a creative idea through the print production cycle, while managing the associated assets.

In 1998, we shipped Version 1.0 of Picflow, or 'PICture your workFLOW.' Our original client base consisted of large magazine publishers, prepress studios and agencies. In the ensuing years, both Picflow and the support services offered by bigDAMidea have been subject to continuous and dramatic enhancement.

In 2000, we came to the United States, to reflect the increased scope of the product. Picflow now supports not only Package Design and Production files, but also Advertising Agency, Point-of-Sale, Point-of-Purchase and Merchandising workflows. We have a close working relationship with several DAM vendors and RealTimeImage, a provider of online remote proofing and softproofing solutions, having shown an integrated DAM/softproofing solution at the last two GraphExpos in Chicago.
